"Self care is not self indulgence.
Self care is self respect."
I will work with you to explore your feelings and how your experiences shape your
thoughts and actions.
I hope you will gain a better understanding of what makes you, you.
I will help you to find ways to reach your own solutions and relief from your distress and
There may also be times when I could simply be that listening, non judgemental, confidential
ear that you just don't have elsewhere.
I have 15 years’ experience in counselling and have helped and supported many people over
the years with various difficulties such as:
Addictions – drugs, alcohol, gambling, etc
Abuse - sexual, physical and emotional
Relationship issues - break-downs, betrayals, affairs, separation and divorce
Depression, self-harm and suicidal thoughts
Low self-esteem and low self-confidence
Crisis management – for those times when you feel everything is crashing down on you
I offer an initial assessment during which time we will discuss your needs and decide if we
think we can work together - if I am unable to help, I will point you in the right direction.
I understand it is often difficult to make that first step and if you are unsure whether you
want or need counselling please contact me for a no obligation discussion. Please leave
details if the phone is on answer phone.
I aim to make things as easy and as relaxed as possible, and thankfully my clients say I do
and hopefully you will too.
I understand how difficult life, relationships, decisions, feelings and experiences can be.
My mission is to guide you to find your own solutions to your difficulties and empower YOU to find relief from your emotional discomfort, pain and distress.
We will work together to achieve this by exploring your feelings and how your experiences shape your thoughts and actions, which will then enable you to recognise old patterns and start to change those that are no longer helpful to you.
"The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new."
Life can be difficult at times for all of us and if you’re reading this, my guess is that you’re struggling with something at the moment. I understand that beginning this journey may not always be easy and the first step can often be the most difficult. I will offer you support and empathy in a warm, friendly and caring environment. Well done for taking that first step and thank you for looking at my details.
